Discover Ammergau Alps

The mountain range of the Ammergau Alps belongs to the northern limestone Alps and impresses with its extraordinary beauty. Not least because of this, the Ammergau Alps Nature Park is also the largest nature reserve in Bavaria. The highest peak is the “Daniel” with proud 2340 m above sea level. The rugged peaks are interspersed with beautiful green valleys with hidden little villages. More of the same can be found in the neighboring Werdenfelser Land, which stretches along the foothills of the Ammergau Alps. The most beautiful view of the mountain range is from the summit of the nearby Zugspitze.
